Plinking Repairs and Range Closures

Buildings & Grounds will be undertaking major repair and renovation work to the Plinking Range berm and dividing wall this month. This will have a major impact on the availability of both the Plinking Range and the adjacent Action Pistol (AP) Bay #1. Work will begin on 11 May and is expected to complete the week of 22–26 May,

Please read closely, as the closure schedule is a bit more complicated than our usual approach.

Plinking will be closed on 11–12 May (Thursday–Friday) while the dividing wall is torn down. Plinking will remain closed on the morning of 13 May (Saturday) while AP Bay #1 is being used for a regularly scheduled match. At the conclusion of that match—around 1:30PM—Plinking will re-open for the remainder of the weekend (rimfire shooting only, of course).

Plinking will be closed again the following week, 15–19 May (Monday–Friday), but will re-open for the scheduled Sanctioned Weekend (20–21 May). Plinking will close once more on Monday the 22nd and remain closed until the work is completed.

Action Pistol Bay #1 will be closed during demolition work on 11–12 May, but will re-open for the regularly scheduled match on 13 May (Saturday). AP Bay #1 will then remain closed from the conclusion of the 13 May match until all repairs are completed, which is anticipated to be before the regularly scheduled match on 27 May (Saturday). The other two AP bays will be unaffected by the repair work.

If you would like to volunteer to help with any of this work, please contact Buildings & Grounds. The e-mail address can be found on the Officers, Directors, and Chairs page,
