All scheduled AAF&G events can be found through the calendar. You can use the “Categories” selectors to narrow down to specific ranges or facilities. You can use the “Tags” selectors to find specific types of events. For example, selecting the tag sanctioned will show all the upcoming sanctioned weekends at the Club.
A printable version of the calendar is also available.
Public Events
For non-Members, the public tag identifies any events that are open to the public. In the toolbar above the calendar, click on “Tags” then select public from the Tags menu.
These events may require pre-registration, so check the event details or contact the event co-ordinator for more information.
Calendar Reservations
AAFG Committee Chairs and other Members may reserve Club facilities for their events. First, please view the Calendar with the appropriate Category selected (clubhouse or specific range, such as precision-pistol) to check the availability. Then e-mail your request to calendar(at)aafg(dot)org if the desired date/time is available.
The Plinking Range will be closed to the public from 4PM on Wednesday, 14 September, until sundown on Saturday, 17 September.
The High Power Range will be closed to the public from 4PM on Thursday, 15 September, until sundown on Saturday, 10 September.
IDPA Tier 2 match. This match will be using the Action Pistol, Plinking, and High Power ranges.
AAF&G Sanctioned Weekend with extended centerfire shooting hours.
CCW training classes are being offered at AAF&G. The classes will cover drawing from the holster (dry fire only), point and shoot techniques, drawing from concealment, emergency reloads, and real-world legal considerations in MD. This training satisfies the 16-hour requirement for the MD Wear and Carry permit.
Classes are scheduled for:
- 9–10 January (Mon–Tue)
- 16–17 June (Fri–Sat)
- 10–11 July (Mon–Tue)
- 18–19 August (Fri–Sat)
- 11–12 September (Mon–Tue)

Normally there are two (90-shot) 900 aggregates. The second match begins at 11am even if the first match concludes early. You may shoot in either match or both matches. The 9am match must be shot with a .22 rimfire pistol. The 11am match may be shot with either a .22 rimfire pistol or a centerfire pistol.
Applicant interviews are by appointment only and will be set by the Inquiry & Interview Sub-Committee.
