All scheduled AAF&G events can be found through the calendar. You can use the “Categories” selectors to narrow down to specific ranges or facilities. You can use the “Tags” selectors to find specific types of events. For example, selecting the tag sanctioned will show all the upcoming sanctioned weekends at the Club.

Public Events
For non-Members, the public tag identifies any events that are open to the public. In the toolbar above the calendar, click on “Tags” then select public from the Tags menu.
These events may require pre-registration, so check the event details or contact the event co-ordinator for more information.
Calendar Reservations
AAFG Committee Chairs and other Members may reserve Club facilities for their events. First, please view the Calendar with the appropriate Category selected (clubhouse or specific range, such as precision-pistol) to check the availability. Then e-mail your request to calendar(at)aafg(dot)org if the desired date/time is available.
Applicant interviews are by appointment only and will be set by the Inquiry & Interview Sub-Committee.
CCW training classes are being offered at AAF&G. The classes will cover drawing from the holster (dry fire only), point and shoot techniques, drawing from concealment, emergency reloads, and real-world legal considerations in MD. This training satisfies the 16-hour requirement for the MD Wear and Carry permit.

As per the Bylaws, the December meeting is the Annual Meeting. Officer and Director elections will take place at that time.
Experienced shooters & aspiring shooters with little or no experience welcome. Gain hands on experience with a variety of firearms and have your questions answered. We utilize NRA materials, PowerPoint, and videos to teach the NRA rules of safe firearm handling, pistol parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, maintenance, and range rules. Classroom session includes lecture, hands-on instruction, and exercises.
For those interested in applying for your Maryland HQL, additional material & classroom time is provided.
Course requires live fire practice & qualification. If you own a firearm (.22LR only!) you may use it for qualification. If you do not, the instructor will provide firearms & ammo. This is a fun class and a good learning experience.
If you are planning on taking a CCW training course for your Maryland Wear and Carry permit and you think a “tune up” might be a good idea, this course might meet your needs.
