All scheduled AAF&G events can be found through the calendar. You can use the “Categories” selectors to narrow down to specific ranges or facilities. You can use the “Tags” selectors to find specific types of events. For example, selecting the tag sanctioned will show all the upcoming sanctioned weekends at the Club.
A printable version of the calendar is also available.
Public Events
For non-Members, the public tag identifies any events that are open to the public. In the toolbar above the calendar, click on “Tags” then select public from the Tags menu.
These events may require pre-registration, so check the event details or contact the event co-ordinator for more information.
Calendar Reservations
AAFG Committee Chairs and other Members may reserve Club facilities for their events. First, please view the Calendar with the appropriate Category selected (clubhouse or specific range, such as precision-pistol) to check the availability. Then e-mail your request to calendar(at)aafg(dot)org if the desired date/time is available.
Come join us for the annual Meg & Ernie Clarke Memorial Club Championship Match and the 14th Annual Club Bull Roast!
Registration for the match will open in the Clubhouse at 9:30AM and close by noon. Shooting will begin at 10AM and will end at 2PM. The match fee is $10 for competitors, and any member of the Club (Individual or Family; Full, Life, or Provisional) is eligible. Non-competitors may shoot individual stages for a nominal fee, and Provisional members may get shooting discipline sign-offs through the match. Guns and ammunition will be provided for every stage; competitors may bring their own equipment, but it is up to the staff running each stage whether personal equipment may be used.
The Bull Roast lunch will be served in the Clubhouse between 12PM and 2PM. Lunch is free to Club members displaying their membership card, and $5 for guests. If you’d like to volunteer your time to help with the Bull Roast, please see page 6 of this month’s SCORE for details.

Member George Collis is offering the class. This is the required one-day renewal training for Maryland Wear and Carry Permit holders. Per the Maryland State Police website, training must be taken within two (2) years of submitting an application or renewal, so if you have a permit expiring any time before the end of 2023, this course can be used for your renewal.
The class will include practice on drawing from a holster and an attorney-led discussion on use-of-force issues.
If you are interested in attending, contact George by phone at 443-668-0668.
